Celebrating Madhubala and World Animal Day
Join us for very special event celebrating the arrival of the inspiring Madhubala sculpture in Chelsea, Massachusetts!
In collaboration with the City of Chelsea, FOUR PAWS is proud to present Madhubala—a life-sized elephant sculpture that carries a powerful message of hope and resilience.
Madhubala gained national attention as part of The Great Elephant Migration, a traveling exhibition featuring 100 life-sized elephant statues that toured cities from Newport to Los Angeles. The sculpture is named after the real Madhubala, an African elephant rescued by FOUR PAWS from heartbreaking conditions in a Pakistani zoo.
We are honored to host this event on October 3rd as part of our World Animal Day celebrations. Observed on October 4th, World Animal Day is dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action to protect the welfare of all animals. This gathering offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate that mission in Chelsea through art, community, and advocacy.

If you’re unable to attend, the Madhubala statue will remain on display to the public at Chelsea City Hall through December 31st.
Please note: Parking near City Hall is limited; however, the location is fully accessible via public transportation options, making it easy to attend the celebration.

FOUR PAWS continues to promote the Madhubala sculpture through a collaboration with MvVO ART, a prominent New York–based contemporary art platform, presenting the sculpture on their Artsy gallery, accessible via www.mvvoart.com.
