U.S. Premiere of DETHRONED
The filmmakers and FOUR PAWS experts spoke at the premiere in New York City
FOUR PAWS partnered with Climate Film Festival (CFF) on an impactful night of film and discussion. DETHRONED is a documentary which follows photojournalist Aaron Gekoski as he uncovers humanity’s destructive relationship with big cats.
Following the film, Aaron Gekoski and FOUR PAWS' Head of Wild Animals in Trade Vanessa Amoroso, joined Assistant Curator of Mammalogy at the American Museum of Natural History, Angelo Soto-Centeno, and producer of the television show "WILD HOPE," Anisa Peters for an expert panel and inspiring conversation, led by CFF's Jesse Tendler. Panelists spoke about the importance of protecting wildlife, addressing habitat loss, and the illegal trade of big cats, as well as the urgent need to mitigate the climate crisis and biodiversity loss.
